It looks (and sounds) like Garth Brooks is going to be performing at the Wynn in Las Vegas - my insider sources have said that the announcement is coming today at 1:00 pm (PST) during a special press conference at the Encore Theater.
Garth Brooks, the country music icon who retired at the height of his popularity in 2000 to raise two daughters, is coming out of retirement to become a resident headliner at Wynn Las Vegas.
This show could represent a great new draw in a city that has seen falling revenues from hotel and gambling operations for some time now. I am looking forward to watching the conference (and you can see it too): right here.
Perez is reporting that The country star is expected to perform for 16 weeks shortly after New Year's.
