Good evening, Good Morning, Hello!
This post is for the ticket industry professional - I'm writing a new book (with a secret co-author who is a ticket MASTER in his own right) - I can promise you that when it is released the contents will absolutely make you more money on your inventory, will change the way you do business, and will improve your bottom line dramatically.
I need a little help though, and there is some easy money in it for you.
I'm looking for topic suggestions, stories, tips, tools, and insight from those of you who are making a living with tickets. You know who you are, you've worked hard for years, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO BE RECOGNIZED!
Send your thoughts to eschwarzer AT tmpresale DOT com - I promise that everyone who contributes (even if it is only one sentence telling me what I should NAME the book) will be acknowledged in the credits. You contribute, I'll put your name in - that easy.
Give me your questions, your favorite tips, your stories - EVERYTHING and ANYTHING!
Oh.. and one more thing - Best tip on getting tickets wins $100, runner up will nab $50 and third place will snag $10 - Winners get their name in lights and a link to their website or blog.
Get those submissions in soon - I will post a deadline once I have a few submissions.
Oh, and one more FAST thought: First person to submit a tip wins $10 - I'll send the PayPal first thing tomorrow morning. READY SET GO!

How about for the first person to post a comment to this article? Regardless, in my vast and lengthy first 30 days experience in the
"cut-throat" ticket industry I've learned 3 things. First, finding & being a member of the right forums, blogs and newsgroups will save you alot of time and headache. This involves reading the trade magazines, participating in the forums and asking dumb questions. Second, I've learned that a well structured google query can yield amazing results e.g. use google to find opening presales by targeting it just to ticketmaster.com. Something like 'presale site:ticketmaster.com' can be really helpful in finding presales quickly. Also presale ticket forum lead me to a great forum for presale passwords. Finally, I am realizing that I don't know a damn thing about ticket sales. I am winging this and have had a little success but I am saving my pennies for my first big mistake. Any help and advice I can garner from people who know how to do this the better. Let me know when that book comes out if I haven't wasted a small fortune trying to figure this gig out I will be the first to buy a copy.
Thanks for all your hard work & advice.
Mike
