Scotiabank Place will host the 2008 HomeSense Skate Canada International, which will take place October 30 to November 2, 2008.
This is the fourth time that Skate Canada International has been held in Ottawa and the first time since it has been included as an event on the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series which was established in 1998. It was previously held in Ottawa in 1976, 1981 and 1993, when world medalists Kurt Browning, Lu Chen, Gordeeva and Grinkov and Moniotte and Lavanchy won the men's, ladies', pair and ice dance events respectively.
