As the franchise has returned to the league's elite, the local support of the Pistons has correspondingly increased. The Pistons led the league in fan attendance from 2002-03 to 2005-06, before finishing slightly behind the Chicago Bulls (who play in the higher capacity United Center) in the 2006-07 season. Despite the sellouts, The Palace is often not filled to capacity during regular season games.
This might be something to think about... it also means that you can probably find a bargain buying Pistons tickets from other fans.
